I'm okay, Malcolm. I'm just upstairs. Haven't felt up to heading out yet.

Oh thank god. Okay. Good. Um. I'm going to go see if I can help. You know. Get people off hooks, apparently.

[ He frowns. It's more at himself than anything. His head hurts and it feels like he's learning his coping strategies all over again.

Both lives are yelling at him that he should be out there, stopping this. ]

You want help for your help? This is our field.

[Malcolm's brow creases with concern.]

Only if you're up to it. Don't rush yourself back into the field, Will. There's nobody here who thinks your value is tied to whether you catch the latest killer.

[ He takes that in and then nods. ]

Right...right. I'll... I'll just see you out.

[ He's already on the way as he says that. He'll meet Malcolm at the door and pull him into a hug. ]

Thanks. Be careful, if you can?

[Malcolm tucks his face against Will's neck, smiling against his skin and clinging to him tightly.]

I will be careful and I'll check in and then I'll come home and make you dinner and tell you all about it.

[ Will hugs him back tightly. He is newly touch-starved, and Malcolm is his nourishment. He'll step back only after Malcolm starts to pull apart.

Malcolm's words are a balm. Will gives him a bashful grin. ]

Sounds perfect. [ He smooths his hands over Malcolm's lapels, as if that does something. ] Go get 'em, tiger.

[It does something. It charms him immensely. It makes him feel connected to Will.

He gives his husband a tender kiss.]

I'll miss you until I get back.
