Because this is wrong. Because our job is to help people, protect people, and redeem people, but all most wardens care about is enabling people and making themselves look good. Because not enough people care that de Lioncourt hurts people, and not enough people care about trying to keep it from happening again.

So I don't blame some wardens for taking different approaches. Trying to tie down Lestat is probably going to make him worse. If you really want to redeem him, a warden would have to take a different approach.

Caffrey says a lot of inmates are furious because of some stuff I said on the warden filter, about the speakeasy. I guess it got leaked out. You want me to try to do damage control or whatever? You made a good point about you getting blowback for being paired with me. I don't want that.
It did get leaked. But it was also something that's been brewing awhile, mixed up with discussions about the power dynamic between warden and inmate, as well as anger over wardens not getting demoted when they apparently really should have.
So far, I haven't gotten any blowback there. As far as I can tell, I haven't been blocked out of anything. And that was before we all regained our reasoning. So thanks for asking, but I don't think it's necessary for me.
